HOW TO DIY A WOOD TISSUE HOLDER
If you spend any time in the workshop, you know how quickly off-cuts and leftover wood strips can pile up. Instead of tossing them into the scrap bin or using them for firewood, why not turn them into functional home decor?
Today, we are tackling one of the easiest, most rewarding zero-budget projects you can make: a custom DIY scrap wood tissue holder. Say goodbye to ugly cardboard tissue boxes sitting on your counters. With just a few simple cuts and some nails, you can build a minimalist, rustic cover that instantly upgrades your space.
Best of all? This project takes about 1 minute and costs absolutely nothing if you already have the leftovers. Let’s get building!
What You Will Need:
Materials: Leftover wood strips, and standard wood nails.
Tools: Measuring tape, a saw, and a hammer.
There are only a few steps:
First, cut two wooden strips into four segments at a 45-degree angle.
Second, align the four segments and trim off the excess material at the bottom.
Third, use the offcuts as filler for the middle section, stacking the materials in the order of wooden strip, offcut, and wooden strip.
Next, nail this assembly together.
Next, repeat the process and nail the two wooden assemblies together.
And just like that, you have a beautiful, durable piece of home decor made entirely from trash-bound timber! It is the perfect weekend project to practice your cutting and assembly skills.
