How to Build a DIY Phone Stand with Zero Screws

There are only a few steps:

Drill the Core: Start by drilling a clean hole in the center of your first board to act as the main pivot point.

Cut the Entry Slot: Use your saw to cut a straight path from the edge of the board into the center hole so the second piece can slide in.

Prepare the Interlock: On your second board, cut matching slots on both sides. These should be exactly the width of your wood’s thickness for a secure lock.

Refine the Fit: Use a chisel to smooth out the slots. A clean joint is the secret to a satisfying “twist”.

The Final Twist: Slide the boards together and give them a 90-degree turn. The pieces will lock firmly into a stable, angled stand.
